Nice and useful reference.
It would be nice if the scales could be sorted by how many notes they have, say to group seven-tone scales, eight-tone scales, nine-tone scales and so on and so forth.
Good work!

I love music: I love guitars.
Music is for the soothing of the soul....
I write the songs; not Barry Manilow,
ALthough I do like some of his music!
Peace be with you!

Great sight, has been very helpful. How do I find the natural minor scales? I only see harmonic and melodic listed. Also, if given a note on the treble or cleff, how do I list the natural, harmonic or melodic notes above that note to complete the scale?

Hi,
I've just stumbled across your site and love it. I'm a mountain dulcimer player and member of a chat group relating to hammered dulcimer and mountain dulcimer. I hope you don't mind that I referred to your site in a recent posting. Chord building and progressions are a frequent issue. I have designed a chord wizard for my site but it is not nearly so complete.
